Poor teamworkLack of effortDisorganisationWorking alone when collaboration is neededMediocrity

An artisan works on a cathedral arch while two figures — perhaps the architect and the patron — review plans nearby. All three contribute; all three are needed. The masterwork is possible only through the combination of skill, vision, and support working in genuine collaboration.

Reversed, the collaboration breaks down. Responsibilities aren't taken seriously; skills are underused; the team is working against rather than with each other.

Upright

Work with others. Bring your expertise fully to the joint effort. The best work you'll do is rarely done alone.

Reversed

Clarify who does what and why. The masterwork requires everyone doing their part with genuine commitment.

Three builds structure in any suit. In Pentacles, the structure is the masterwork of craft — the medieval guild, the cathedral, the collaborative achievement that outlasts any individual contribution.

Check that the collaboration is genuinely equal — that each person's expertise is being respected.
