Five figures brandish wands at each other in apparent conflict. But look more carefully — no one is actually being hit. This may be competitive play, debate, creative friction, or the productive chaos of multiple strong personalities colliding.

Reversed, the conflict turns inward or is actively avoided. There is inner turmoil, suppressed disagreement, or a peace kept at the cost of honesty.

Upright

Embrace the competition. Creative tension and healthy disagreement can be the friction that sharpens your thinking. Engage, don't flee.

Reversed

Name the conflict clearly — to yourself first, then to others if needed. Suppression does not resolve tension.

Fives traditionally mark disruption in tarot — the stable four now disturbed. In Wands, the fiery energy becomes combative.

Is this conflict generative or destructive? Not every battle needs to be won — some need to be redirected.
